I'm working on that one, Tempest. Just a few more novels published then maybe I can give a one-fingered salute to the reptiles who make my day miserable. I don't mind my day-job, really, it's just the commute that kills me. (I live about 30km outside of the city centre and have to take the train each day.)

Too bad you can't work from home.

I wish I could, but one of the editors has a complete conniption fit every time I play anything that "has a man who sounds like he has his balls in a vice" (I'm paraphrasing what was actually said). And that pretty much rules out most of the music on my computer. Hell, they even complain when I play JS Bach's Toccatas and Fugues written for the organ. The religious fundis come barging in asking who's playing "church" music then see me, in my corner, dressed all in black... and they get SO offended. They won't even listen when I tell them that the organ isn't necessarily a sacred instrument, and that the music I'm listening to is secular pieces the man wrote.

So when I play Unsuccessfully Coping With the Natural Beauty of Infidelity...

Then terrorize away! If they play theirs, then you should be able to play yours, Nerine.

I'm averaging about 2-3 listens to the album every day. Pill Head seems to get stuck in my head more often than not. Have quite terrorising the people at work, however... But I have to listen to their cruddy R&B and soft pop... ack.

"When Crows Descend Upon You" is one of my favorite tracks, a few seconds into the song the song and I knew it was a good one.  Very happy that I took advantage of getting the CD from the site with Sal's signature, very cool.

I played the album as I drove to work today. As Black As My Heart is still my favorite, but all the tracks are great. I also enjoy the sound effects (the horse noises for And Hell Will Follow Me).
