Just tormented my parents with Type O Negative

I was going through my discs and my stepfather saw that I have three different versions of Bloody Kisses and asked me why the heck would I do that. Well, I said...let me show you. I showed him "My Girlfriend's Girlfriend" to soften the blow of having metal unleashed on his brain and took it all the way to the Symphony for the Devil DVD. His favorite was "GF/GF" and "Christian Woman".

My mother, who is 64, watched the whole DVD. Okay, I ffwrded through the ass jokes, but she really enjoyed their music. She asked me when they were coming out with their new album and I had to explain there wouldn't be one.

I showed my stepdad, who is a Black Sabbath fan, the APHND cd. Needless to say, he's made a list of new stuff he needs to buy. I made my parents fans. We followed up our visit with NIB/Sabbath and had a great time. Every time I expose someone new to TON, or APHND, or anything really, it's like a gift from the musician, to the fan, to the next fan. For Peter, Kenny, Johnny, Hank, Matt, Lyle, and Sal and all the rest of you. Guys thanks.

You make daily living a little more tolerable.

I love sharing Type O with people who have never heard of them before. I recently showed my dad some and even he likes it, and he's certainly not the average demographic.

How cool!  My mom loves Type O.  We're separated by over 500 miles, so I don't get to share as much with her anymore.  But I know she appreciates fine music.  ;)

I would VERY much be interested in some sort of commerative edition. I miss them. I'm grieving for the loss of this band still. My contribution is to keep spreading the news about how wonderful they were and how unique and cherished they were.

i dont think that my parents would ever be fans of Type O, but i am happy to say that i have brought a few friends over to the dark side so that i am glad about.
im with you SC that i will never stop promoting the great TON, i am hoping that there will be some rare and unreleased songs out there that they can put together, or even a double live cd from one of their shows at one of the europeon festivals. just something.

I will never stop promoting Type O Negative. I'm proud to say I've converted/corrupted over a dozen people in the last month alone. ;)
