So, I have never had a reason or desire to start a Tweeter account.  Everyone I have ever talked to about it says the same thing;  "It's just full of pedo's and creeps".  But, it's the "in" thing now and many bands are other famous personalities are tweeting, and it's apparently newsworthy when they do.

How many people on here are on Twitter?  Should I even worry with it now, or is it something that I'm missing out on?  I need some feedback before I create an account, because the only reason I would make one is to keep up with APHND and a few other bands.  Would it be worth the time?  Help me out guys.

I have an account but I do not check it often (about once a month or even more rarely)

Day 3 and I'm kind of getting bored with it.  I have followed like, 30 people, and I have yet to see much that is entertaining or informative.  Like, I put a few funny things up there, and have no clue if anyone is even reading it.  I might keep it going and just check it on occasion when I'm waiting in a line or sitting in a doctors office.  I don't know.

i think that people need to know what everyone is doing that is why they do twitter and this and that, i cant see myself getting it because like i said before, there is just some things that i really dont think people are interested in knowing about me and i like to keep things nice and quiet and private.

Well, I have had Twitter for less than 24 hours, and I'll I've done is talk about me having to cross the street to take a dump, so I guess I'm in last place on that one!

I will tell you this much about it, I did have to go back and turn off the alerts on my iPhone app.  That damn thing was going off all night long ever 15 minutes!  And I'm only following like 15 people!  I'm going to try and hang with it for about a week or so and then decide from there.  I can see it being a cool way to keep up with people, only because it's not near as personal as FB.  To me anyway.

You guys crack me up. You don't "have" to tweet about when you're taking a dump. It's like Dream Theater. Either you like it or you don't get it. ;)

Ross, for myself i am staying away from the whole tweet thing, there is just so many different outlets to keep up on and they are changing every day. i mean i only got a cellphone last year a couple of years ago because i was travelling up north 8 hours every couple of weeks so i needed it then and i need it now because i have  a 17 month old so i only use it for emergencies only. and i really dont need everyone to know when i am taking a dump or crossing the street. just my opinion.

My entire professional writing career has been made possible because of Twitter. And I first found about about Peter on Twitter because of the network tweets. It is what you make of it.

Ok, I caved in.  I am now part of the Twitter community.  Feel free to follow me and the most unimportant things I have to say about anything.  Such as my views on potted meat, taxes, mosquito bites, amputee porn, liquor, sex, videogames, WoW, and everything else that takes up my time.  @RossCrittenden

I haven't started a twitter account yet. I'm still thinking about it.
